Let’s do a quick rundown of how the whole thing will work.

1. The event will run from February 26th through March 4th, with 3 or 4 pre-recorded presentations running each day, available for free. The Schedule Page will be up shortly, so hang tight.

2. All participants will be offered the opportunity to purchase an All Access VIP Pass when they register, as well as periodically throughout the Summit. Pricing ranges from $97 (first 20 minutes) to $179, to $334 starting day 3, and finally $397 (after the summit).

3. Along with the live presentations, there will be a Life Storytelling Private Facebook Group for attendees to hang out in, hold each other accountable, and ask all of us additional questions. You're welcome to go live in the group to answer questions, connect with the attendees, and provide even more value. By the way, go and join now before it's open to the participants.

4. There will also be periodic co-writing sessions both for all participants and for purchasers of the All Access VIP Pass. These are sessions where our participants can join live (via Facebook group or Zoom), receive a writing prompt, and then write for a specified period of time. Attendance as a speaker isn't required, but of course you're more than welcome to join us or teach one!

5. Leading up to the summit, we’ll all promote registration. You’ll be provided with email swipe copy, social media swipe copy, and social media graphics to make it all easy!  (See Resource Vault below) 

6. I will also be running Facebook ads to the registration, along with my 8k+ email list, and your email list, this is going to be a POWERFUL summit!

6. During the promotion phase, as the summit is running, and for a week after the summit is complete, I’ll be promoting the All Access VIP Pass. This pass includes the replays, audio, transcripts as well as additional bonuses myself and many of you will throw in, bonus presentations, AND the Life Story Contest. This will provide immense value to our attendees, while making the work of promoting and creating a presentation worthwhile by allowing you to bring in affiliate commissions. Woop! 1. Offer prizes such as courses, memberships, books, or other prizes that will be used in a drawing for VIP members, the Life Story Contest (bigger prizes) and also advertised to everyone who registers. Please let me know the number of items, the dollar value, and description. I will be mentioning these in emails, Facebook posts and lives, and on web pages throughout the summit.

2. Join me in a Facebook Live any time between February 23rd (before the summit) and March 6th (after the summit). Please let me know the day/time/time zone you'd like to participate.

• You can also go live in the Life Storytelling Facebook group to answer questions about your presentation or provide additional information on your topic. Please let me know ahead of time when you'll be doing this.
• You could also be "host for a day" in the Life Storytelling Facebook group to go into the group several times throughout the day, get conversations started, comment on comments and generate excitement. Choose any day between Feb 23 and March 6th, first come-first-served.  (Of course, you can do this throughout the summit randomly to be visible!)

3. Additional Bonus Presentation for All Access VIP Pass holders. If you'd like to record a deeper or different presentation that will only be given to our VIPs, usually on a deeper level than the first interview, let's get that scheduled! It will remain in the Summit presentations as evergreen and will provide dividends for years to come.

4. Life Story Contest Judge - I'm SO EXCITED about the Life Story Contest! All VIPs are eligible to enter a 750 word story (so this will be flash-nonfiction type work, (shorter than a blog post - quick reads). I'll host special writing sessions for VIPs to teach them about this. They will submit a form like this one. between February 26th and March 5th at midnight. On Saturday, March 6th, I'll divide the number of entries by the number of judges and allow each judge to review a set number of entries over the course of three days (Saturday through Monday at midnight). Winners will be announced the following Wednesday.

Judging criteria is on a scale of 1-5 in these seven areas:

• Creativity
• Effective use of words (i.e., brevity, usefulness, impact, few adverbs, active not passive)
• Message is conveyed well
• Story begins in action, not in explanation (flash nonfiction doesn’t have time for lengthy, expository introductions)
• Imagery, engaging the senses, effective use of metaphor, simile
• The significance of why this story is important or the nugget of wisdom is conveyed in the story
• The story encourages us to read, reread to allow the full meaning to sink in
