Terms and Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions apply to the submission of stories to Stacy Brookman – Life Story Contest: 

 

  1. By posting, uploading or submitting a story to the Life Story Summit and Contest website, you hereby accept and agree to all of the Terms and Conditions contained herein. 

 

  1. All stories submitted to the Life Story Summit and Contest (collectively “Content”) become the property of the Life Story Summit and Contest, Stacy Brookman, and Real Life Resilience. Acceptance for publication on the Life Story Summit and Contest website or for other purposes is at the sole discretion of Stacy Brookman and Real Life Resilience.  Stacy Brookman and Real Life Resilience reserves the rights to edit, modify and otherwise change any of the text submitted to Stacy Brookman and Real Life Resilience.  (Note: This is for editing purposes only, no substantial change in the Content will be made without the author’s approval) Obscene, provocative, or otherwise questionable content will not be accepted. 

 

  1. By submitting Content, you warrant and represent that you own or otherwise control all rights to your Content including, but not limited to, all the rights necessary for you to post, upload, input or submit such Content and to grant permissions to Stacy Brookman and Real Life Resilience to use such Content as it deems appropriate. You warrant and represent that you are the copyright owner of the Content submitted, that such Content is original and does not infringe on the rights or property of others. By submitting Content, you are acknowledging that your submission constitutes your guarantee that you are the author and copyright holder of such Content.  Upon submission, your will relinquish fair use rights to the Content to the Stacy Brookman and Real Life Resilience. You do not relinquish your own rights to use Content anywhere, any time. You are fee to simultaneously use your story.

 

  1. By submitting Content, you understand and agree to have your submitted Content displayed on the Stacy Brookman and Real Life Resilience websites as well as Life Story Summit and Contest websites, in social media channels, and in any other future publicity, publications, and or fundraising materials as it deems appropriate without any fee or compensation to you or to anyone else and you consent to such use.  If at any time the ownership of Content is contested in any manner, Stacy Brookman and Real Life Resilience retain the discretion to discontinue use of such Content, which will be the sole remedy for any contested use.

 

  1. By submitting Content, you agree to release and hold harmless Stacy Brookman and Real Life Resilience and its directors, officers, staff agents, employees, affiliates and assigns (collectively “Stacy Brookman and Real Life Resilience Releasees”) from any and all liabilities, damages, injuries, claims, causes of actions, or losses of any kind resulting from your submission of Content, including infringement of intellectual property rights.  The Stacy Brookman and Real Life Resilience Releasees assume no responsibility or liability for any damages, injuries, claims, causes of actions, or losses of any kind arising in whole or in part from this submission initiative.

 

  1. If you wish to remain anonymous through Stacy Brookman and Real Life Resilience usage of Content, please check the box in the submission form and choose a Pen Name by which to submit. You must provide your real name and email address for communication purposes, but the publication of Content will be under the Pen Name. You are solely responsible for ensuring Content submitted is appropriately anonymized as well.

 

  1.
